the human race

“Cultural differences should not separate us from each other, but rather cultural diversity brings a collective strength that can benefit all of humanity.”

                – Robert Alan Arthur

So different yet so similar. We are all products of our past experiences, shaped by what we are accustomed to and what is expected of us by society. To be sympathetic for beliefs or practices that do not align with our own takes effort. I am especially drawn to indigenous communities which seem to instinctively understand how they are connected as part of a greater existence and how individual choices become the collective reality. In many ways, they are more real than we are. They are living and not just existing, people as people were made to be.
